Woo Hoo!

The Boy returns to a regularly scheduled school setting today!

To say he is stoked is to put it mildly.

He was very nervous to admit he wanted to go back to school because he'd had such a massively negative experience with the previous school.

To put it mildly, they're not real good with people like The Boy and really bad with parents like me.

Engineering types ask why.  Then my business admin degree lets me understand that their answer for why is bullshit.

But that is the past and The Boy is moving forward!

  1. If I were confined to home environment, I'd be ready to go to school too. I'm pretty sure the teacher will keep the content light.

My wife teaches junior high English - Literature, been doing that for 34 years. Today is 1st day this year that all teachers and students are back on campus, due to state standardized tests. As she predicted, her fellow teachers that taught remotely from home are freaking out. 'We'll become infected - what do I do with my young children while I'm there' etc. She and four other teachers were on campus since October. Six students attending in person, others remotely via computer. She had to up her computer skills considerably.

I hope your son has a great day.
