Are you looking at GURPS stats and find that you live in a nation that's never flown and returned a person from the Moon?
Additionally, you don't live in Micronesia, Liberia, Marshall Islands, Myanmar, Palau, or Samoa?
On page 9 of The Basic Set there's a handy guide to convert your Godless Socialist French Terror measurements to normal everyday units.
The default units in GURPS are Yards and Pounds. Speeds are in yards per second.
Because these are assumed, they aren't specified in the weapons tables.
Similarly, because there's only one kind of die used, it's just a d and not a d6 like it would be in D&D.
