Pink seems to have been able to procure a supply of books despite their being banned.
Missing the fact that the books were never actually banned.
If he were still alive, I'm sure that Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn might be able to inform her what REAL book banning looked like.
I'm also pretty certain that Ms Moore will not be jailed for distributing these books at her concert.
Nor are the publishers or authors of the tomes being punished.
The "ban," for those who don't know, isn't a ban. It's simply removing the books from public school libraries where children who are too young to understand the material.
Worst ban evah!
No offense to your home state, but Florida is very weird, man. The whole "don't say gay" law, book bans, etc etc.. *shakes head* I can see why DeSantis isn't taking off nationally.. and having the personality of a turnip doesn't help. He also needs to stop putting lifts in his shoes... be short and proud little guy! -JKing
ReplyDeleteFlorida only seems weird when you get it filtered through the mainstream media.
DeleteDon't say gay wasn't saying gay, it was prohibiting sex-ed until the kids were old enough because the teachers and groomers union started teaching 1st graders about buttsecx.
I guess if you're OK with that, then it's weird to stop it.
The law is literally telling teachers that they cannot discuss things that would get normal adults arrested if they discussed the very same things to children.
DeleteAs to the books, well, again, if you can get arrested for transmitting images of the books to children, then that makes the books unacceptable to be used in the classroom. Seriously, does a 1st grader really need to know how to give or receive a blowjob?
This is what happens when people only read the media's version of a topic. Even though the actual law and easily understood synopsis have been available since before it became a law.
What's weird is that other states don't have the same laws. And don't hold their teachers to the same high standards regarding inappropriate sexual content in the classroom.
Funny how the mainstream media totally characterises these bills differently. Beans first two paragraphs are definitely NOT the impression that the narrative from libtards is designed to convey. I totally agree that they tend to spin things not just to be controversial and to drive ratings by outrage, but to advance an agenda.
DeleteThe truly crazy thing is that this kind of law is even NEEDED. It shouldn't even be an issue that anyone, especially teachers are essentailly grooming children, especially young ones, by providing them with material designed to teach about things like giving blow jobs or anal sex. At first grade any touching of these areas by anyone else except limited circumstances by medial professionals as part of legitimate examinations, etc... should be a NO. That's the way it was taught back in the day -- someone touches or asks to touch, say NO, tell an adult, get help! If kids ask questions about sexuality at these ages it is most likely an indicator that someone is being inappropriate around them or that they're being allowed to watch TV or movies that are not proper for their age. Those things need to be dealt with in other ways than giving instruction in how to do these things -- that does cross over into "grooming".

"Ban" -- you keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.
DeleteWay to go JKing.
