I can imagine a day in the early 1950's when the Warsaw Pact was trying to standardize things...
In Czechoslovakia...
Pact Standardization Officer (PSO): Nyet! We are telling you to be making SKS!
Brno Firearms Engineer (BFE): (Showing a Vz52) We did!
PSO: Most certainly you did not! Is not even right caliber!
BFE: Well, we did fix some things...
Six years later...
BFE: (Showing a Vz58)
PSO: NO! This is NOT an AKM!
BFE: We had to fix some things. Again.
PSO: (resigned sigh) At least you got the caliber right this time.
