I was reading this article and came across this quote:
On an average year, 18 unarmed black people and 26 unarmed white people are shot by police. By contrast, roughly 10,000 black people are murdered annually by criminals in their own neighborhoods.
We're having riots over the police shooting 18 people but not a peep over the 10,000 others murdered?
18 people who always seem to have lengthy criminal records themselves.
If you don't care about the 10k murder victims, then you don't really believe that black lives matter.
I have ideas about how to fix it, but my ideas will get shot down by both sides of the aisle.
I've said before (and been howled down for it, repeatedly) that if BLM really meant "Black Lives Matter," they'd be marching and screaming for more police because blacks in this country are far likelier to be killed by other blacks (often over trivial slights) than by the cops. No sane cop these days, even one who's a real live Klansman in his spare time and burns crosses every night, wants to get into confrontations with blacks, much less kill them. No matter the facts *cough George Floyd cough* the news media always spin it as "Hitler vs. Jesus."
ReplyDeleteI have thought longingly of taking BLM and making them live, say, in Haiti. An all-black country with an all-black police force. They think American police are mean and cruel? Once they've met the Tontons Macoutes, they'd beg to go back. "Help us, Bull Connor! You're our only hope!"
we all know they are the left wing equivalent of the brown shirts...the left could give 2 shits about people getting killed if they are white or Christian, patriots, right wing, black and right wing, black and police officer, etc, etc, etc...panzer gey
ReplyDeleteSo what we are seeing right now is that the people calling for police to pull out of poor neighborhoods which were already where most of the crime was happening has just made matters worse. Most of the massive increases in legal firearms sales which libtards blame for rising crime have happened in middle class or above neighborhoods. A large portion perhaps even most of the guns in poor neighborhoods are stolen or otherwise illegally acquired. Those are the ones that account for the massive increases in murder and other violent crime since the beginning of the Biden administration. And since non-gun related violent crime and property crimes have increased by huge amounts as well, it kind of pokes holes in the believability of the libtards claims about what is happening. They point figures at "assault weapons" and "ghost guns" even though those things are almost insignificant in relation to cirme. It's all lies and smokescreens on their part to try to distract from the fact that their weak on crime attitude, especially in areas that need to be crushed with an iron fist rather than ignored is not just a gigantic failure, but actually doing the opposite of what they said it would.
