I did the research to make GURPS stats for the M48A5 and M60A3 TTS.
I can't just stop there.
Now there's the M728A1, M60A2 and upgrades to the M60 that happen in T2K, but not in the real world.
Soon I will have the M60, M60A1 and two significant M60A1 upgrades.
Then I will wade into the M48's variants...
Then the Leopard 1.
Probably end up with ALL the T-54/55 and T-62s before long.
Never mind the T-72, 64, 80 and 90's.
How many of your players have operational tanks? How many are actually fully operational?
ReplyDeleteDo you factor in unrepaired battle damage? I.E., some explosive blocks used up defeating a TOW?
I'm still a bit concerned the Sock puppets handlers will leave American Troops in the middle east-Europe in an Afghanistan style "Mission Accomplished".
Wasn't that the basis of Twilight 2000?
Exactly two tanks over 38 years of playing T2K. Both were fully operational. The most common armored vehicle the players got their hands on was the LAV-25.
DeleteBeing an anal retentive sort, I kept track of everything that broke or was consumed. GURPS gave even finer detail about what broke too!
The basis of T2K was WW3 going until all central command and control simply fell apart about three years after the general nuclear exchange. One prominent module was one of the US Governments getting enough tonnage available for a mass exodus from Europe back to The States. Leaving heavy equipment behind, of course.
Have you considered accumulating all your work into a continually updated sub-forum or easily found pdf or other files? I've never played GURPS but I am one of those idiots that wants to collect everything gaming...
ReplyDeleteI have considered it, and never bothered getting server space for people to download it.
