Brewery Grand Tour

The Tampa-Sarasota area is home to dozens of micro, nano and pico breweries.

We hit a decent percentage of them today and Siesta Key distillery.

Better than dealing with the mobs at the mall or Wal Mart by a wide margin.

  1. I remember back in the day the big thing about going to Bush Gardens-Tampa was touring the whole brewery and bottling operation. Sure, the animals and the rides were neat, but the huge brew facility was just fascinating.

Do they still do that at BG-T?

    1. There's no Busch brewery in Tampa anymore, it closed in 1995.

    2. Bastiges! That was the best part of the park.

Oh, well, not like I'm going to Tampa any time soon anyways.

  2. Angus and I toured the Coors brewery in Golden, CO back in the late 1980s. I've been on tours of a lot of the local brewing operations, but the Coors brewery was the only mega one I've ever been in.
