Oh Are They Now?

I am not finding reports of T-90's or Armata showing up on the battlefield.

I am reading about it, but not finding confirmation.

I am finding confirmation for T-62M, T-72B3 and T-72B3M.

Just want a source to see if I'm behind or if the source is sour.

I'm finding a lot of "sources" are vested in the outcome and are proclaiming that one side or the other is decisively advantaged.

If either of those camps were correct, the war would be over by now.

That it continues says they didn't know what they were talking about.

  1. Supposedly the T-90s were part of the vanguard and lost within the first month or so. Supposedly.

    Business Insider has this: https://www.businessinsider.com/russian-t90-tank-is-struggling-in-combat-in-ukraine-2022-8

Then there's the Daily Mail, which has a pretty good track record of telling the truth about the war: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10801589/Ukraine-war-New-footage-shows-Russias-latest-gen-T-90M-tank-destroyed.html

But you'd have to trust those sources.

Direct sources? Can't really find them.

  2. I can't remember where I read it, but IIRR- Russia basically made those Armada tanks to sell to other countries.

  3. I think the Armata is going to turn out to be another Russian hoax, like their imaginary "nuclear-powered" bomber fleet.

The Butthurt Fanboi Brigade doesn't want to talk about realities. It's like arguing baseball with a kid who likes who he likes, and never heard of statistics or W-L tallies. Pointless.

Russia isn't winning, and likely couldn't ever, short of going all Rome v. Carthage circa the Third Punic War, which would require nukes, which probably negates the existence of Russia within 30 minutes or so after that.

I suspect, since he started it, this war will last about as long as Putin does.
And the minute the lemon is worth the squeeze, some underling is going to covet the big chair in the Kremlin enough to activate the Makarov Retirement Plan for Vlad.
The withdrawal and apologies will probably start about an hour after that.

Ukraine "wins"* by survival, and bonus points for regaining the Donbas, and probably Crimea. I doubt they'll settle for less than that as long as they have a chance of getting it.

After that, it's diplomacy, and deciding how many seized Russian assets go to Ukraine as reparations.

*(As noted by Will Rogers after touring Europe in the 1920s, were remarks to the effect that "I've seen the countries humorously referred to as the losers and winners of the Great War, and I wouldn't give you two hoots in Hell to be the "winner" of any such conflict.")
