InCon

It's that time of year that GenCon is going on...

I'm old enough to remember when it was in Geneva, Wisconsin.  Thus the GEN in GenCon.

Not that I ever went when it was actually there.

I'm pretty sure it was in Milwaukee the two times I went.

It just seems wrong to be in Indiana.

I do understand why it's better to be in Indy, but... it still feels wrong.

    Went to Lake Geneva a few times as a kid but mostly the Milwaukee ones during HS/early college... Then my exile in the Army so missed a few... When I lived in Champaign I loved the Indy ones because it was a sub-2 hour drive to get there, so... And nice place. Well the convention center was nice, Indy... Not as much, but I do not like cities, so... I find it amusing that Adepticon which was another localish one (well, local to where I grew up) is now taking over Gen Con's old digs in Milwaukee... But looking forward to some day getting back to a con to play games...
