I like having appropriate web gear in the shot with the weapon when I take pics.
That has me wanting to set up a chest rig or a plate carrier for pics with Kaylee.
I kind of insist on having a good one, so...
What's a decent one that doesn't need DoD budgeting to buy?
Plus, since this is a web gear substitute it's got to have a place for a canteen and holster too.

Any specifics you're looking for besides presumably MOLLE webbing and some real estate? I'm fixing to do some looking to replace my current budget carrier that I got from AR500 on special, has too much stretch in the side straps for my tastes. I use it for a weighted exercise vest to pretend it's not utterly unnecessary for me (fingers crossed that it stays that way). I can keep an eye out during my search, or send the old plate carrier along if it's up to your standards after I pick out something new.
ReplyDeleteShoot me an email when you're ready to part ways with the old carrier. mcthag with the rest being standard gmail.
DeleteMOLLE and being able to replace standard web gear.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that a lot of chest rigs are just ammo carriers with little to no provision for carrying anything else. Great for 2-gun, not so much for field use.
"...chest rigs are just ammo carriers..."
DeleteWell that's what most of them are for.
A more convenient way of carrying your fighting load while in a vehicle.
