A Midwest Thing It Appears

A friend has lost her father.

When a friend loses a loved one, we get to cooking the comfort foods.

She likes my chili and homemade mac-n-cheese.

So I made both and she was in utter disbelief that I'd made it all just for her.  Tears and everything.

  1. Hey Angus;

    That is a southern thing and you done good. We won't tell anyone you are a softie beneath that crusty exterior.

  2. It isn't just a southern or midwestern thing, it is more of a small town America thing. You won't find that sort of thing in the big cities as much. But you'll find it in the more rural parts of even states which most people would not usually associate with friendly behavior like New York and California.
