Guess Again!

18.04 proved to be unable to play movies and TV shows from Amazon Prime.

20.04 has show it can after downloading a new version of the browser.

Mutter, mutter, mutter...

Never mind that it appears to work fine on earlier versions of the OS and browser...

Odd problems are what I have.

  1. I prefer Manjaro over Ubuntu, personally. manjaro.org is their website, and you can try it on a thumb drive as well. Manjaro comes with Steam pre-installed, and I was able to install and run a Windows program without any tweaks. I don't remember what the program was off the top of my head, sorry.

Thunderbird should have been able to be installed on the 18.04 Ubuntu, but I understand you were running it off USB. And you can install it on Manjaro, as well.

Another thing to try, would be to have Thunderbird export the email, and try importing it in Evolution or one of the other email applications. Having a copy exported in other formats is in general a good idea.

    1. The problem wasn't that 18.04 didn't have Thunderbird, it was that it was version 68 and couldn't be updated further.

The Win7 profile was on 78 and when you move the profile it complains that the version I'm trying to run is too old for that profile.

78 can be installed on 20.04 and the profile worked like it should once the ini was edited properly.
