I've kinda-sorta wanted a 9mm PCC based on an AR for a while.
KE arms makes a polymer lower like Brenda's that takes Glock mags.
$239.86 after taxes.
But to make it a firing gun you need another $514.61 if you already have Glock 17 magazines.
$754.47 total.
But it's not COOL until you have a 33-round stick or 50-round drum magazine. $45 and $120 respectively.
Can't suffer along with irons either.
Plunk another $400 getting that sorted.
Yeah, getting your 'NOW its better !' components is harder to accomplish now. Items are offered for sale on line, then when purchased you are told it will be 'a few weeks' before it is delivered. Supply chain problems.
ReplyDeleteIf you have money to spend on making it better, that isn't a bad situation. Don't forget the ammo though - that is even more crucial.
Back in the day, the firearm was purchased, a few extra magazines and you were good to go. A suitable holster was easy to find when you found it in a catalog (Remember that ? Actually having to do your own gumshoe work to find it - it wasn't nearly as easy without a computer.) Factory irons - fine, lets use those. Electronic sights and weapon mounted lights did not exist so weren't missed.
