I was going to 2nd checking out the main line coming into house. We've had our alley installed water meter driven over and had a leak there twice. Three weeks ago, we noticed a water 'bubble' near the main line where our house shutoff valve is. Yeah, the water main pipe had busted, but we were lucky it wasn't yet too bad.
Last month, we had noticed the water bill about $30 higher than normal. My wife had thought one evening of forgetting the sprinkler in backyard for a night had done it, but it is also likely this line break was the main culprit. Not too expensive, about $200 charged.
If there is a break, I hope it is close to foundation edge. Good luck !
We have a shut-off where the line enters the house. If it was between the meter and the house, shutting that valve would still show flow on the tell-tale. It does not.
"Fortunately" the water lines run just under the east edge of the slab, relatively accessible once you find the leak. The bad news is 2/3 of that edge is porch and patio.

I feel you. Water pipe got a leak in it just my side of the meter, and, oh, boy, did I ever pay for that.

Previous owners just turned down the water temperature rather than spend the $40 in parts to fix it.
