We did a little fish-fry about 2pm. It was getting pretty toasty when we wrapped up.
But it was nothing compared to how hot it was in Tampa where Marv and I visited a 65 year old ice-cream stand.
It was simply unbearable to sit there and drink my shake.
Happily, there was relief in the car.
Being a lifetime hot climate person, never understood people who, since the introduction of air conditioning, want to cook outside or picnic in hot weather. So much nicer to bbq when it's cool, nay, cold. Same with picnics.
ReplyDeletecome to tx .... it's hot and miserable
ReplyDeleteFlorida is hot and miserable and humid. You get steamed to death. Add all the damned yankees and canuks that have invaded over the last few years and it truly sucks.
DeleteI'll gladly put up with the heat here in Texas to not have to deal with the months of freezing weather I grew up with... those weeks of 20 below zero... No thanks.
DeleteSummer finally hit Illinois.
ReplyDeleteHot and humid.
Working outside a couple of the last days was unbearable.
