To Underscore It

I signed, I owe, I'm paying.

I am content with the interest freeze that makes my payment actually reduce the amount owed.

Here are the people whom should have to pay my loan.

  • David Moore
  • Paul St. Pierre
  • Frank McCord
  • Dennis Devereux
  • Lloyd Holland

But they will never be held to account.  It would be unfair for the taxpayer to have to eat what they've sown.

My little histories are trying to point out how we got here, because if we don't eliminate that part from the equation, it will happen again and again.

Simply condemning fools who signed doesn't fix the problem.

Letting those fools completely off the hook doesn't fix the problem.

Calling people names never fixes the problem, to be honest.

  1. Yes, you got screwed, along with lots of others.

But... A lot of the vocal 'Forgivemystudentloaners' are people who went to big expensive colleges and universities and got completely useless degrees, so useless that the positions only exist in academia. If you picture non-natural-haired non-binary leftist lesbian wannabees, they are the poster children for those the Dems are aiming Student Loan Forgiveness to.

Normal people like you are not the ones the whole forgiveness thing is aimed at.

And, yes, there are people who got loans in order to afford their rather flagrant lifestyles while schooling. Those people need to be treated like baby seals around a bunch of sailors with oars.

I am all for people like you who got screwed getting a tax break or interest-free loan forgiveness system, maybe even total loan forgiveness. But the forgivers got to prove it, not to the asinine level of proving disability, but gotta prove it.

And, yes, go after the asshats that screwed up all the colleges and the people who were involved in basically loan sharking.

But... First... If a college was involved, hit their endowments first. Seriously, Haaavaaad should pay for theirs, along with all other ivy league schools. Then there are totally useless expensive schools like Oberlin or Smith, that produce nothing but high-class useless degrees..

And go after colleges that did what FSU did to my wife. Close a program while students are still enrolled and leave them completely hanging, and now having to fund an additional year or two in order to get a degree in something. Yes, close a program down by phasing it out, but closing it while lots of people are still in the program? Assholes.

Again, it's a much deeper subject than what the media portrays (duh.) But as long as the face of student loan forgiveness is some entitled twit with a non-binary wymyn's gender study in naval lint weaving, who are now whinging and whining that they can't get a job with said useless degree, any real discussion of what to do is NOT going to happen.

Now if the students of FakeDegreeForU.com and ScammerU could unite and express their issues with sensibility, separating themselves from the idiots and spendtrifts who gamed the system for fun, booze and trips to Cozumel, then all y'all might get some sympathy.

    1. I am getting sick of being lumped in with the people who abused the system.

Especially when there's a lot of fuckheads who don't acknowledge there's legit victims of fraud out there who only wanted an education and got fucked by that same system.

    2. There are victims, lots of victims, as you said. But the poster person for student loan is that weird purple-haired face mutilated maybe woman who screeches at people because they want everything without working for it.

You and your people - the true victims - need to find a way to break away from those people in order to get you and yours situations fixed.

  2. It's helpful to name the fools as fools.
(At least to bystanders. It would help if the fools themselves had any self-respect, or sense of shame, but one can only do so much. Life itself is a much sterner taskmaster. Dulce et decorum est.)

You're were victimized. Not the same thing.

The first and last step is always to get goverment out of the Fairy Godmother business.
Thus forcing students to pick majors with some application, and colleges to cater to the demands of students, rather than existing largely on the highjacked largesse of the taxpayers, and doing with it whatever contra-sensible jackassery their Marxist faculty and idiot boards decide is trendy.

English literature and history will survive just fine on their own. Shakespeare, Dickens, et al will see to that.
Victim Studies majors will happily become Endangered Species, or Extinct.
