Punctuation Matters

There's a difference between:

We will not comply again.

AND

We will not comply, again.

The person who didn't notice the comma got a good head of steam going condemning the original poster before people pointed it out.

But, just in case you're in possession of a sheepskin from a midwest high school (like me)...

The first is saying that they complied once and won't be complying this time.  The second is say they didn't comply the first time and would not comply the next time either.

I won't even condemn the a person in the first case.

There were a lot of unknowns at the time and most people don't know much about the topic.

I credit the internet for getting the knowledge out and raising mistrust of institutions who've been actively working against our interests for decades.

I really feel like we on the cusp of something.

Especially when Harvey's liberal co-workers are complaining about Brandon as loud as anyone on my side of the aisle.  The only thing they got that they wanted from him is that Joe Biden is not, in fact, Donald Trump.

I can't even get mad at them for that.  George W Bush was not Al "Ozone" Gore.  George W Bush was not John Kerry.  John McCain was not Barack Obama, nor was Mitten "I did Obamacare first" Romney.  Donald Trump was not Hillary Clinton.

I get voting against someone rather than for someone.  I've literally been doing it for decades.

Still, everyone who's a graduated of the Ivy League and jealously guarding the levers of power is missing that Donald is a symptom of unrest, not the cause.

They're also missing that what they're doing the the January 6th protesters is not deterring a repeat.  It's informing them that, next time, bring guns and to not hesitate to shoot.

These are facts on the ground that need to be accounted for going forward that are being actively denied.

I can easily see if Biden gets reelected that the hotter heads will say, "well, that's it then..." then raising the black flag and start slitting throats in the most literal sense.

  1. To be clear;

    "I WILL NOT COMPLY, AGAIN!"

Of course, I will have to be a little more careful in uniform this time so as not to earn another 7 week suspension from the FD.

  2. The Jan 6 persecutions were eye opening. The obvious Fed-Boys in 'right-wing' drag (be they supposed nazis in Florida or 'proud boys' or others' are also cheesing off the less-than-lunatic leftists in my area. The persecutions/prosecutions of The Donald ain't helping the left's image and cause any, either.

As to complying, it's a very good thing that our state, Florida, has a law that stops mask mandates in public places, including private commercial establishments. I masked in order to get food for me and mine, minimal compliance and I bitched about it to everyone within hearing distance as to how non-effective hand sanitizer and paper/cloth masks were to stopping actual virus particles (though it did help cover the people who believed that perfume, apparently having alcohol in it, was an effective anti-viral agent, though it probably encouraged social distancing better than anything else.) I did not get the clot shots. I did not ever get a jumbo-sized Q-tip crammed up my nasal passages.

I will not comply at all even minimally this time. Screw it. Masks sucked, social distancing sucked, it all sucked.

Big telling point at the beginning of the mandates were the number of hospital workers, doctors and nurses, who would come into Publix as a group with no masks and obvious dirty scrubs on. You know, the very people that were soooo heroic for being on 'the front line' and 'in the trenches' and were 'boots on the ground' weren't complying from the start. Kind of like Congress. Or the CDCs and NIH, which were exempt from any mandates. That right there should have raised the red flag for everyone.

  3. It does not seem like that ending portion of your post is getting through to enough of the right people. They are not even bothering to try to hid the uneven justice, the fraud and the outright... Well, I'll stop there :-) Not bothering to hide it means that presumably they are wanting the more extreme responses but having seen those elsewhere I am REALLY hoping to avoid them here.

  4. Trump wasn't the only symptom by any means. Arnold Schwarzenegger in California, Jesse Ventura in Minnesota, Sarah Palin...all of them were Signs and Portents that the proles were not happy. Schwarzenegger was outmaneuvered, Ventura was neutralized, Palin was slimed and driven clear out of politics, but people remember. I know a lot of people who haven't forgiven the news media for Palin yet. I will grant that she was probably "not ready for Prime Time," but the media that trumpeted every error she made to the skies actively protected Obama. And the same people who'd hang the January 6 "insurrectionists" from a sour apple tree had spent the previous eight months cheering on and making excuses for far more dangerous riots. January 6 was less destructive than the last VEISHA riot in Ames.
