I was just watching a vid of X4014 pushing a stalled train.
I wonder if the crew was giddy that they got to employ their baby doing the work she was designed for, rather than the tourist exhibitions she's doing most often these days.
Most likely, and I bet that the mechanics and ironworkers that rebuilt her got teary-eyed over it, too. Probably had some celebratory drinks and all that.

They've even brought the Big Boy out to help push/pull trains on steep grades. Crazy how well the last generation of steam locomotives worked.
