There are between 1,000 and 2,000 people who stop by my little corner of the internet every day.
Thanks for stopping by and reading my drivel.
There are, maybe, 2 to 3 comments every third post.
I nearly always recognize the person commenting. There are a, maximum, of ten people who comment here and, for the most part, are polite and follow the rules listed in the right sidebar well.
A couple have decided to be dicks lately and will be finding their comments aren't being published.
If they rage quit my blog...

How can I be so sanguine about this?
Because I have shed commenters and readers before. I've been at this for almost twenty years.

I'm not doing it for the audience or the feedback.
I'm doing it for me.
This is my release valve.
In the beginning I didn't even blog where I could accumulate much of an audience. I was shocked that 30 people stopped by my LiveJournal on a weekly basis.
If everyone reading this stopped, I would still be writing and posting and I will until Google pulls the plug.
Been reading a ;long time. Mostly just lurk. Always enjoy your writing but don't comment much!!

Attitude. I didn't say that to read it. I said it to you. I hope you took a minute to analyze the point. If you disagree with my position, you have a great place to discuss it.
I'm simply doubting you wasted two hours of your life watching that interview. Putin did equate himself with Hitler in it. And a lot of other stupid things.
DeleteI want those two hours back and am VERY sensitive about "oh, surely you didn't see what you just saw" comments about it.

DeleteEntries like this always make me very curious as to what was said that provokes entries like this. Kind of like pulling a scab to see what's underneath (yeah, I was one of those kids...)
ReplyDeleteThere are ways to say contradicting things to your (or other people's blogs, entries, comments, statements yada yada...) that will be okay for you (or other people) to publish or listen to or yada yada.
Learned discourse is the way we can move forward on all of these pesky issues.
Me, I like learned discourse. I've even been swayed as to my opinions and feelings thanks to some really good back-and-forth learned discourse.
It's what made this nation great at one time. It was the end of allowing learned discourse that got us into this particular kettle of rotten political fish. That and Fat Teddy Kennedy, the murdering bastid, changing our immigration laws and concepts from 'the best of the rest of the world' to 'feckless invading useless bastids and bastidettes.'
I did not watch. I read your post and commented on only what you said. If there was more, then I not only didn't see it, I won't. I'm not enamored with Tucker or Putin. My Real Life took a Big turn in the last weeks. Wife died. Hadda call 911 to get my daughter and a big guy out of my house.Yesterday,

I had no idea that you said that with a bunch of other stuff in Your Mind, that you were aware of, but, as we all do, we Don't type all that junk,,who has time for that junk? It was probably not reasonable of me to even think that you would fail in that.. Hell.. I didn't know what you knew,, and didn't understand how you could say that. I didn't get ugly, I was just a little disappointed. Now I'm disappointed again.

DeleteHowever you commented that I'd made a leap in logic that was impossible when it plainly happened when you'd not even bothered to see if I was wrong. Yeah, I get to be pissed off about that.
You thought less of me for making that connection, and said so. But you didn't have any basis in fact for doing so.
Culling and shunning are time-honored tactics for a happy life. I think more people should should consider who they allow in their lives. Worlds better off without a lot of folks...
