The 5th Circuit rules on the 2nd Amendment correctly about as often as the 9th Circuit rules on it incorrectly.
But it doesn't really matter until the Supreme Court shoves it down some throats that anything changes.
Even then, the anti-gun side fights so hard to avoid the Supreme Court ruling that nothing really changes until additional rulings are issued.
A large part of this is the Supreme's reluctance to give rulings that follow the implications of the narrow ruling they just issued.
If they issued wider rulings, like the 5th and 9th Circuits often do, then we'd be much farther along.
Their policy appears to be baby steps to oppose seven-league-boots.
