Shines The Name

I've encountered this a couple of times.

I cannot read Medal of Honor citations.

They have too much dust on them.

  1. Thanks to sci-fi, I've chased quite a few citations. The ones where they survive are harrowing. The posthumous ones are terrifying and tear-inducing.

    And, yes, started chasing them down thanks to Heinlein. May they finally make a proper "Starship Troopers" one day.

  2. The Audie Murphy official description of events, in his case, is pretty neat.

    Mostly because he got out with his hide intact.
