Still 15 Years Away

A small subplot of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps is funding fusion research.

They mention that it's been five years away for 40 years.

I giggled.

Something I noticed about the film and the movie it's a sequel to.

Wall Street aged well; sequel didn't.

I don't know why I was surprised by that.

  1. I worked on the tokamak fusion reactor at the Princeton Plasma Physics in the early 80's. The goal was to make and sustain plasma as the first step in development. That was done before Christmas that year.
    Arabs dropped the oil embargo.
    The program got closed down.
    Just a coincidence I guess.
