Trying To Get Out Of Being Punished
Florida cities are fighting to stop penalties of $5,000 and removal from office, if they pass local gun regulations.
I notice that they're not trying to get the preemption repealed, just the penalties for violating it.
Seems like a conspiracy to commit a crime to me.
"We intend to break this law, and would like the penalties eliminated."

Here in Gainesville, our wonderful city commissioners have been trying to get around preemption for over 20 years now. And the only thing that has kept them from doing it in one way or another has been that particular penalty.
ReplyDeleteI hope this goes no-where.
