Brownell's Aluma-Hyde flat dark earth is still not a match for Magpul's.
It's the closest paint match yet, though!
Here it is compared with the USGI issue tan magazines:
He's a searcher. Medium coyote tan is close enough (literally) for Government Work®™ to me.

Have you tried Duracoat?
ReplyDeleteI use it a lot, though I haven't tried to do a specific color match like you're doing.
There are a lot of colors and shades and you can mix them to produce custom colors.
