Damn

The Iron Sheik has passed.

I'd met him once.  The AWA wrestlers had a cabin adjacent to a friend of my Dad's up in Northern Minnesota.

    I've met a few of them living in the Charlotte, NC area, which was once one of the primary territories back in the heyday. Andre the Giant had a farm east of Charlotte, where he lived with his friend "Frenchie" Bernard, who was a wrestling referee.
