17 Years Short

The Browning Hi-Power has ceased production.

Almost made 100.

Besides the 1911 are there any other pistols that pre-date Disco still in production?

And please notice I say pistol here and not revolver.

  1. Are the Walther PP series (PP, PPK, or PPK/S) still in production? And wouldn't the Colt 1903 Hammerless reproductions count?

    1. Good catch on the PPK! I forgot about that one.

The Colt Pocket Hammerless doesn't count because it's a limited production run. I think it's actually done with the run by now.

  2. Well damn. Neat gun... don't have one anymore but still a neat gun. I did bring home another 1911-esque gun today. Colt Defender in glorious 11.43 x 23mm

  4. Sad - it is a great gun. I like mine, but I find myself not using it as much as some of my other pistols, largely because threaded barrels are rare and expansive for it and it has no rail.

  5. Hi "Tag,"
Had an "Arcus 94" (Bulgarian) Browning Hi-Power !!! Nice Piece!! got really low on funds and no job at the time... sold it!! DAMN, stupidest thing I ever did!! The money I got for it was less than I paid for it and If I would not have sold it, I would have "survived" anyway!!! Made a pledge to myself after that..."I'll NEVER sell another one of my "Pieces!!!!" (You know the drill if the Sarg. catches you referring to your piece as your "GUN!!!")...for any reason!!! AMMO either!!
    Still looking for another!!
    Got GUNZ...........OUTLAW!!!!!,
