Is Brownell's Milspec?

I noticed that the A4 barrel's markings show a CAGE code rather than saying "Brownell's", but that code translates to Brownell's.

It's all so very professional.

  1. In the electronics world, having a Cage Code doesn't mean the product is certified to any particular mil spec. The Cage Code is just another way of giving the company name. I assume it's the same thing here; if it was certified to some Mil Spec, it would give the spec number and revision.

    1. CAGE is needed to sell to the gubmint. It makes me wonder if Brownell's is selling spare barrels to the mil since they've gone to the trouble of marking it as they have. The published specs hit the milspec pretty well.
